Middle Holly Cottage Tea Room

Middle Holly Cottage is set in a peaceful location in the quaint village of Forton overlooking countryside with views across to the beautiful Forest of Bowland. A short distance away is the historic city of Lancaster owned by Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Lancaster.

Middle Holly Cottage Tea Room has a delicious menu comprising of light lunches - sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, soups, omelettes, - all accompanied by a variety of salads according to what is in season, homemade coleslaw and Fiddlers crisps. The ham is home-cooked for lunch and fresh bread, cakes and scones are made in their kitchen using organic flour and eggs from Middle Holly Bungalow just down the lane, local milk and cream is delivered by their milkman. The cake menu varies from week to week.

They also serve cream teas with homemade preserves and Rhodda's clotted cream, their own interpretation of High Tea and their speciality Middle Holly Afternoon Tea which showcases the variety of their homemade produce. It is recommended that you pre-book Afternoon Tea to avoid disappointment.

Visit for a pot of tea for one, lunch or the full works, you will be greeted with a warm welcome from Gill and her team.

They are more than happy to cater for gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or vegans as long as they are given at least 48 hours notice. Please telephone and speak to Gill to discuss your requirements.
