Lower Clougha Cottage

Lower Clougha Cottage is situated in the beautiful Quernmore Valley, on the old roman road from Lancaster to the Trough of Bowland, which is an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty.

This is a traditional detached two-storey cottage, with 3 bedrooms to accommodate 5 people. Cosy living room with open fire and 37" TV / DVD. Well equipped modern kitchen and separate dining room with views over garden. Down stairs shower room / WC. Large secure garage to store bicycles with ample private parking. Access to a spacious garden area boasting its own babbling brook.

This is a truly rural retreat, but within easy reach of Lancaster (approx 3 miles) and amenities. M6 access is convenient for junction 33 & 34, Lancaster University is only 8 minutes away by the scenic route.

Explore the locality: Forest of Bowland, historic Lancaster, the market towns of Garstang and Kirby Lonsdale. Further afield Kendal and the South Lakes (approx 30 mins by car), Ingleton with caves and waterfalls and on to the Dales of Yorkshire.

Directions

Road Directions

There are two routes which avoid the busy city centre traffic: Junction 34, M6 Come off the M6 motorway at Junction 34, take the A683 (east) signposted Caton, Kirby Lonsdale. Approximately after 2 miles you enter Caton Village, take the first right signed Quernmore 31/2 mile. After approximately 2 miles take a left signed Quernmore 2 miles. Stay on this road, past a church and small primary school until you approach a stop sign at the crossroads. Turn right ( signed Lancaster), Cottages are 400 yards on the right. Junction 33, M6 Come off the M6 motorway at Junction 33, as you approach the roundabout take the first exit left, then take an immediate left approximately 20 yards. This takes you over the M6 motorway to a T-junction. Turn right at the junction and after 1/2 a mile take the left turn signed Quernmore 4 miles. Carry along this road until you come to a stop sign at the crossroads ( approximately 4 miles). Turn left ( signed Lancaster), Cottages are 400 yards on the right.
