Welcome to Burnley’s third walking festival we hope you will come along and join us to discover this hidden part of Lancashire. Wild moorland, wooded glens, historic townscapes, wildlife, windmills and stunning works of art can all be found on the walks on offer.

Come along and enjoy this exciting weekend with us, you can choose to join any of the walks below (Please choose carefully as some of the walks are more strenuous than others), they are all free and everybody is welcome.

A highlight of the festival is the Burnley Way Challenge, a 40 mile walk completed over three days. Join our walk leaders to discover a landscape rich in history, wildlife and stunning views.
Saturday 30th April - Burnley Way Challenge (Walks 1 & 2), Padiham History Walk.

Sunday 1st May - Burnley Way Challenge (Walks 3 & 4), Moorland Walk, Towneley Ghost Walk.

Monday 2nd May - Burnley Way Challenge (Walks 5 & 6), Padiham Greenway & Hapton, Guided Towpath walk through the Weavers' Triangle, Ponies and Puppies.

Tuesday 3rd May - The Padiham Round, Harle Syke Heritage.

Wednesday 4th May 0 Wednesday Whopper, Towneley Small Holdings Trail. A Transport of Delight.

Thursday 5th May - Memory Walk, Local History Walk, Cliviger Gorge, Then & Now.

Friday 6th May - Worsthorne and Gorple with twists & tracks, Bat Walk.

Saturday 7th May - Panoramic Perambulation, Cemetary Walk.

Sunday 8th May - Three Churches Walk.
