Santa Steam Specials on the East Lancashire Railway

The Santa Train is coming to town! It’s a tradition for many families in the North West but this year’s Santa Special is even bigger and better with more trains to choose from and a longer steam train journey from Bury to Rawtenstall.

Climb aboard and join us on a festive train ride surrounded by the most magnificent winter scenery.

Soak up the magical atmosphere as the railway comes alive with hundreds of Christmas trees, twinkling lights and festively decorated carriages. Get into the spirit and join in the carol singing, listening to live brass bands playing and watching costumed characters entertaining the children. Meet Santa and his helpers who will be making their way through the carriages to hand out a present to each child and a mince pie and sherry to the adults.
