The Way to Pendle

Meet at Pendle Heritage Centre, Barrowford (GR 863398) for a trip to the summit of Pendle along streams, through woods and over smaller hills with a lunch stop at Barley’s Pendle Inn. What is exciting here is the picturesque scenery, the atmosphere created by the Pendle Witches and the hospitality in evidence at the Pendle Inn where as a Free House the bar is superbly stocked with beers, wines and “spirits!” There is also a startling choice of food ranging from delicious sandwiches to an extensive home cooked menu including local dishes. Please note this is classed as a hard walk of 12 miles.
