Roman Re-enactments
On the weekend of the 10th and 11th July 2010 the annual visit to Ribchester by Legio Secunda Augusta, the renowned Roman re-enacting society based in Portsmouth, will take place.
Highlights will include military parades and the firing of the Roman artillery.
Centurion David Richardson said of the event, 'We always enjoy coming to Ribchester despite the unpredictability of the weather because the crowds are always very enthusiastic. Our main problem now will be cleaning the rust off our equipment in preparation for the show!'
