Sleeping Beauty - St Petersburg Ballet Theatre

At Princess Aurora’s christening Fairy Carabosse is forgotten. In revenge she puts a curse on the baby that she will prick her finger and die, but the Fairy of Goodness and Light turns the curse into a hundred year sleep. Aurora awakes to the kiss of a handsome Prince and they hold a joyous wedding attended by fairy tale figures. Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece score reveals his genius as a ballet composer.
