Sunset Park in Hambleton, near Blackpool was last night (October 10) named as the winner of the Holiday Park of the Year Award at the fourth annual England's Northwest Tourism Awards.
Judges were looking for holiday parks which boosted business by making the most of their distinctive appeal and found Sunset Park met this criteria with ease.

Lancashire also had three Judge's Commendations at the awards ceremony: George Bancroft Way, Blackpool (Public Space), Kwizeen restaurant, Blackpool (Taste of England's Northwest) and Off the Rails (cycling tours) (Sustainable Tourism).
The England's Northwest Tourism Awards recognise excellence within the tourism industry and reward both group and individual achievement over the past year. In addition to receiving a prestigious title and trophy, regional winners have the opportunity to represent the Northwest in the national awards, organised by Visit Britain next April and taking place in Liverpool.
