South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre

A timber-framed Tudor grammar school, housing a collection of local history and archaeology exhibits. Monthly exhibitions are held by local artists. The building dates from 1580 and is very small, with floors on different levels. It is not suitable for blind or physically handicapped visitors, though every effort is made to accommodate them.

Opening times Tuesday and Friday 10am-4pm, Thursday 1-4pm, Saturday 10am-1pm

From M6 jct 28, turn towards Leyland. Turn left at the first roundabout, right at the 2nd roundabout. The museum is 800yds on the left.

Public Transport Directions

Bus and train to Leyland town centre. Left from the station, down Chapel Brow, along Hough Lane to Leyland Cross. Turn left into Church Road. The museum is 100yds on the right.
