Rivington
Many people wrongly believe Rivington is in Bolton - but they're wrong. This beautiful part of the borough is very much Chorley - and we're proud of it.

With a fascinating and fantasic history involving the decadent Lord Leverhulme, who built a retreat complete with fabulous chinese gardens here, it's well worth a visit. See if you can climb all the way to the famous 'Pike' and spot the remains of Lord Leverhulme's life on the way back down!

Numerous nature trails and walks within the area are a popular focal point for hikers and ramblers.

The village of Rivington itself is of outstanding natural beauty and interest and there are Rivington Barns if you need to stop for a quick bite or drink.
