Padiham

Padiham, the picturesque town on the edge of the Ribble Valley is soon becoming the creative hub of Lancashire, with shops being taken over by small businesses run by creative and talented people, celebrating the rich history of independent trading that reaches back to 1294.

Top quality arts and crafts market will be returning in November and will attract crafts people from far and wide. The Markets bring a creative energy to the town and attracts visitors from across the region, looking for a new and different shopping experience.

From Gawthorpe Hall, River Calder weaving through the town and to Memorial Park with its woodland and riverside walks, Padiham is a vibrant and attractive town full of greenway, art and galleries.

Padiham has a captivating history and heritage and a visit to the Archive Rooms in the Town Hall offers visitors plenty of surprises. The town existed long before the Norman Conquest and for centuries it was a market town where produce from Pendleside was bought and sold.

The Fat Giraffe is situated in the village of Padiham and is a fully licensed cafe, deli and bistro, this popular restaurant is definitely worth the visit, using fresh locally sourced produce along with home-made delicious baked cakes and scones. Padiham is the place to find something original, a one-of-a-kind gift, or an essential item. The car parks are free, the welcome is warm and with new shops adding to the electric mix of traders, Padiham is not like anywhere else; it is unique.
