North Lancashire Bridleway
The first phase of 45km is now open and commences east of Lancaster, winding its way up the Roeburndale Valley, over to Slaidburn and the Hodder Valley, skirting Dunsop Bridge and Whitewell and finally on to Chipping.
Cooperation and interest from the landowning and farming communities have provided concessionary routes and accommodation for walkers, cyclists and horse riders, and in many cases their horses too. In fact, 8 out of 9 accommodation providers along the Bridleway are working farms.
