Preston’s Guild Hall is licensed for civil marriage and provides a unique setting for a truly memorable wedding. Their team of experienced coordinators and event managers can help with every aspect of the day, including menus, flowers, the cake, music and all the finishing touches. Their team are always on hand to answer any questions and help you deal with last minute nerves.

Whatever your needs, they are able to provide an event unique to you. Be it afternoon teas or three-course meals, their award-winning caterers can create a bespoke menu for your event. Our in-house technical team will be on hand throughout your event and have the expertise to create the perfect atmosphere.

They have a wide range of venues to suit your requirements. For an intimate experience you could choose their charming Lancaster Suite for around 50 guests.
Or for a party on a larger scale, their Grand Hall is proud to be able to offer seating capacity of over 500 guests. The attention is in the detail and their dedicated team go the extra mile to make your day extra special.

They understand no two weddings are the same and offer a tailored and bespoke weddings service. The possibilities are truly endless and would love to help you achieve the day of your dreams.

They are able to offer a range of packages that include everything you and your guests need for the wedding of your dreams. They offer a variety of function suites and pride ourselves on their expertise, courtesy and the quality of their food and service. Executive Chef Colin Smith will personally plan for your wedding breakfast and tailor to any requirements.

The stage is waiting for you…the Charter Theatre provides atmospheric auditorium for unique and romantic setting to capture your beautiful day together. After the ceremony you can also choose from the nearby Winckley Square or Avenham Parks which provide an idyllic setting or of course the stunning architecture of the Grade I Harris Museum and Library and historic Town Hall are viewed directly from the Guild Hall. All provide the ideal setting for those all-important wedding photos and form a delightful backdrop for the bride and groom.

Preston Guild Hall is located on Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 1HT, opposite the Town Hall. The pay and display multi story car park above the Central Bus Station provides direct pedestrian access to the venue. Preston's prime central location means that as a city it is easily accessible from anywhere in the country with the M6, on the doorstep of the city, boasting 5 major junctions and direct links to the M65 (East Lancashire), the M61 (Manchester) and the M55 (Blackpool).
The nearest undercover parking is the Bus Station car park, the car park attached to the Guild Hall. The pay and display tariff is subject to an hourly charge and currently operates as cash only.

Public Transport Directions

We are just minutes away from all major transport routes with the train station being a short walking distance.
Preston is a principal station on the West Coast Main Line from London to Glasgow and benefits from Virgin Trains new tilting high speed trains cutting journey time down dramatically.
Two International airports, Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon are within a one hour drive from the city offering an enviable choice of airline connections and destinations.
