Renovation at Helmshore Mills Museum
Over the past 18 months the museum has undergone extensive renovation including, better access, new building linking the museums together, interactive displays, and refurbished customer facilities including a cafe and gift shop.
Ribble Valley Food Trail
As part of the Taste Lancashire 08 year, this trail comprises of a year of events, activities, and promotions aimed at promoting Lancashire producers, farmers' markets, up-and-coming chefs and fine foods. You can find out more information on tastelancashire08.com
Barton Grange Garden Centre and Marina
As well as the Garden Centre, Barton Grange are creating a new eighty berth marina on the canal-side, with full facilities, and developing a Garden Park. With over 9000m2 of retail space, a 450 seater restaurant, the retractable roof and a Farm Shop, it will offer the ultimate in garden centre retailing.
Boundary Mills New Store
At almost twice the size, the newly located store (at the end of the M65) has many new exciting brands spread over two floors; the ground floor features ladies and mens fashions, whilst the first floor is dedicated to home as well as a new M&S outlet which is nearly twice the size. There are now three fantastic places to eat, including a 280 seat restaurant dedicated to serving the most classic of british food - fish & chips!
Huntley's of Samlesbury Food Hall
The food hall will come complete with a jam making factory, and bakery, alongside plenty of food from around the county. The first floor of the barn will be occupied by Cosgrove's clothing. A much larger butchery and deli will then be available in the main food hall making way bar and comfy seating area in the original building.
Clitheroe Castle, from 2009
A £3.2 million scheme to turn Clitheroe Castle into a premier all-weather visitor attraction is now underway. A glass atrium linking the museum and sound archives buildings with a lift, facilities for the disabled, cafe, exhibition space, retail area and innovative interactive display facilities.
