Food and Drink > Where to Eat and Drink in Lancashire > MJ's Restaurant, Whitehall Hotel
From the moment you drive up to The Whitehall, you realise that the claim to be the perfect venue for any occasion is well founded. An imposing Victorian Manor, secluded within three acres of gardens and woodland.
Inside the period charm of the house has been retained with a beautiful panelled staircase, decorative ceilings and ornate chandeliers. Comfortably enjoy a pre dinner drink in the restaurant lounge whilst you deliberate over the set and A la Carte menu selections. An extensive wine list is available which, includes the best from the Old and New World with a good few available in either a half bottle or by the glass.
The Rose Room, is a small intimate dining area enhanced by the attentive yet unobtrusive waiting on team. The restaurant service is also under the watchful eye of Steve Waters the head chef and so it is not uncommon to see him in the dining room.
Personal recognition of his desire to prepare simple modern English dishes with maximum impact resulted in a Hi-Life Award in 2002. Steve manages a small but dedicated team producing top quality food that has been a driving force behind the hotel’s recent award winning success.
