Black Horse

First opened in the 13th Century, this friendly, traditional, two-roomed local on the main street through Kirkham attracts a wide range of customers. The public bar boasts a pool table, while the large screen TV in the spacious lounge shows major matches but is otherwise unobtrusive. The pub is built above ancient monastic tunnels and is said to be haunted by a family who died when a roof collapsed; strange noises are often heard.
