Celebrate the life and times of Britain in the 1940s, brought to life with re-enactments, music, interactive activities and even a replica planes fly-past at the Battle of Britain Weekend in Lytham in August – don’t forget your bully-beef sandwiches! Join the August Bank Holiday fun at Worden Park Parkicipate event with craft stalls, art workshops, story-telling and circus skills all set in 150 acres of peaceful park. As part of the Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Culture, take one of the Packhorses Picnic Rides in August and September and enjoy the Pennine landscape from the back of one of the locally bred fell ponies.
