Blackpool, Lancashire is Britain’s most popular holiday destination, which comes as no surprise when you think about this seaside resort’s huge range of year-round attractions. But did you know that Blackpool is changing? There's a breathtaking new seafront, world class events, and spectacular lighting shows, while still being home to some of the UK’s best loved attractions.

Get your bearings with a bird’s eye view of the action from the top of the famous Blackpool Tower, which soars 158 metres above the city. On a clear day you can see from North Wales to the Lake District! Then set your adrenaline pumping at Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach where more than 125 rides, including Europe’s tallest rollercoaster, the Pepsi Max Big One, await thrill-seekers young and old.

Quieter adventures abound too. Stroll along the renovated New South Promenade to discover contemporary artwork by pop artist Sir Peter Blake and the glittery spectacle of the world’s biggest Mirror Ball in the Great Promenade Show. The magnificent 19th century Winter Gardens has a fantastic programme of unmissable events from award-winning West End Shows to big-name jazz and rock concerts. Coming in autumn? Don’t miss the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations, which turn six miles of streets into a glittering festival of light or the exciting Blackpool World Fireworks Championships. Circus aficionados will be in seventh heaven at the Showzam! Festival of Circus (February) or the regular performances in the Tower. Whether you’re nine or 90, there are plenty of things to do in Blackpool and with its wide range of accommodation including hotels, bed and breakfasts, guest houses, self catering and hostels a trip to Blackpool can suit all budgets.
