Fully equipped self catering farm holiday accommodation on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Family friendly, walkers and cyclists welcome, pets welcome by prior arrangement.

Caldertop Cottage adjoins the owners’ farmhouse on a working sheep and stock rearing farm in the Forest of Bowland with spectacular views over open countryside.

The cottage sleeps 5 people and 1 baby and has a double bedroom, twin bedroom, single bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen / dining room, lounge with open fire, utility room and downstairs cloakroom.

All bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and wood and coal for the open fire are included. Outside there is an enclosed garden with garden furniture, barbecue, swings, slide and trampoline.

Relax in the garden in the evening and admire the beautiful sunsets. With central heating in all rooms and an open fire in the lounge, the cottage is also ideal for a break in the quieter / cooler times of the year. Relax in the cosy lounge with its comfortable furniture and warm, welcoming decoration.

A welcome basket containing a selection of local produce, including bread, milk and free range eggs, will be ready on your arrival. Groceries and basic supplies can also be ordered for your arrival.

Only a 10 minute walk to the village of Calder Vale where there is a post office. Garstang, the world’s first fair-trade town, is 5 miles away where there are supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Caldertop Cottage is beautifully located for a family holiday, with lots to do right on the doorstep, yet within easy access of the M6. Superb location in Lancashire within easy travelling of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Ideal base for a walking, cycling holiday, with several footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep, or to explore the pretty villages such as Scorton and Chipping and market towns of Lancashire like Garstang, Longridge and Clitheroe. It makes a great base for a wildlife watching holiday too, as we work closely with the RSPB to manage our land to encourage breeding birds. Surrounded by stunning views and landscapes, the cottage is an idyllic hideaway from everyday life.

We take bookings for short break holidays. We welcome walkers and cyclists and can offer secure storage for cycles and washing and drying facilities.
