Nominated amongst the ten best picnic sites in the North West, Barley Picnic Site is set in the beautiful village of Barley, just at the foot of the magnificent Pendle Hill, and is often used by walkers climbing this most prominent of local landmarks or trekking the Pendle Witches Trail or the Pendle Way. You can park at the chargeable car park adjacent.
Don't worry about bringing your own picnic supplies; the nearby kiosk, called The Cabin, provides sandwiches, cakes, and drinks galore.There are also a number of fine eateries in the village, including the Pendle Inn, and the Barley Mow. Both also provide accommodation.
